Moncton (NB), November 8, 2021 — Assumption Life employees will have an extra day off on Friday, November 12, allowing them to enjoy a four-day-long weekend. This measure announced by the insurance company is in response to the pandemic challenges and will help employees take care of their mental health.
"The fourth wave of COVID-19 cases did not make the last few months easy for everyone. The past 20 months have reminded us of the importance of protecting our physical and mental health. It is therefore essential that we take time to rest and recuperate in order to perform in our daily lives at work and in our personal lives," stated Sébastien Dupuis, President and CEO of Assumption Life.
The company wishes to recognize the exceptional resilience and hard work of all its employees by offering them this additional day of rest. Combined with Remembrance Day on Thursday, November 11, this measure will create a four-day-long weekend that will allow the employees to recharge their batteries.
"As an employer of choice in Atlantic Canada, we want to support our employees as much as possible during the pandemic. We encourage other employers to express their gratitude, on a daily basis, for the efforts of their employees. Our team members are the most valuable resource of any company, and we owe it to them to ensure their well-being during this difficult period," added Réjean Boudreau, Vice-President, Chief Organizational Development and Customer Experience.
