Assumption Life official partner of the 100th anniversary of the Grand-Pré Memorial Church

MONCTON, N.B., June 13, 2022 - Assumption Life will be the official partner of the 100th anniversary celebration of the Grand-Pré Memorial Church, a National Historic Site and UNESCO World Heritage Site, which will be held from July 28 to 31.
It was only natural for the insurance company to be an official partner of the four-day program that will mark the 100th anniversary of this national historic site this summer.
"One hundred years ago, Assumption Life, then known as the ‘‘Société mutuelle l'Assomption’’, played an essential role in the collective efforts that led to the construction of the Grand-Pré Memorial Church. The Acadian society of the day was committed to this project and the church represents the efforts of a community that rose above adversity. The 100th anniversary program includes a variety of activities, including a commemoration of the Acadian Deportation, conferences, a ceremonial event, shows and poetry. On July 29, Assumption Life will present the 50th anniversary show of internationally renowned Cajun artist Zachary Richard.
